ME Lower - PR

JOKER47

Elite Mentor
Toe is feeling better, so I was able to do some standing work today. I think I should be fine by Friday.:)

Warmup -
DB Cleans - 1x20,1x15

Free-Standing GM's (Wide Stance) -
135x5x3
225x3
275x1
295x1
315x1
335x1 - PR!
Parallel was questionable on the PR, but very close.:)

Reverse-hypers (with bands) -
First time doing these with bands. They suck!!:D
1x10 w/mini
4x8 w/light

Leg curls - Didn't think my toe would handle pull-throughs.:(
90lbs - 3x10

Arm curls w/light band -
1x20, 1x15

Felt pretty good overall. Nothing special. I expect to back to training events again next week. That tire and I have some issues to discuss.:D

Yeah, it's amazing how much even just a injured toe can take out of ya.:(
It's gettin' much better, though. Pretty much dumped the pain killers now.:)

Thanks.:)

Don't be scared of them. Embrace them!! :D

Start light and focus on good form. They will assist you in your squat and your deadlift numbers big time.:)

Don't get me wrong, I like good mornings. I'm slowing working up in weight. I feel much more comfortable with the old chain suspended ones, although I think free standing GM's are more beneficial.

mike, chain suspended and free standing gms both have thier benefits. chain suspend there really is no eccentric, you start from the bottom, like a deadlift. and free standing there is an eccentric, so its help my squat more imo.

Doh!! I knew I had forgotten something:

Reverse Thigh-Master thingy's-
3x20 - w/doubled mini-band

Loved these. Going to add these into my weekly rotation.:)

That is all,
Joker

Awesome job Joker! That sounds like some back breaking weight on the GM's! I still havent tried em yet. Not sure how to incorporate em. =)
