Max-OT Training -- What do you think?

A guy just told me about this method of training and sent me this link to a PDF that outlines what this workout is all about. Have you heard of it? What do you all think? Has anyone out there tried it? The PDF is quite long, but really tells you all that its about in the first 10-15 pages. Here is a copy and paste from the outlines of this method, Max-OT:

1. Each workout should last approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
2. Train only 1 or 2 muscle groups per workout/day.
3. Do 6 to 9 total heavy sets per muscle group.
4. Do 4 to 6 reps per set.
5. Rest 2 to 3 minutes between sets. (STR)
6. Train each muscle group once every 5 to 7 days. (ITR)
7. Take a 1 week break from training every 8 to 10 weeks.

It goes into detail about all of this, but that is the outline of the workout. Thoughts, suggestions? I was thinking of trying it out.

Here is the entire PDF for those interested:

I followed it for a few weeks. I found that there weren't enough sets for some bodyparts, while for others training to failure became exhausting (mostly legs). There are a lot of exercises that I'd prefer to substitute, like kickbacks, which I feel are pretty useless. It doesn't get into diet until something like week 5 or 6, and this is where i felt i was weak. I got aggravated after reading their diet. I was like reading something from a damn infomercial. They want you to buy their whey, because it's "far superior", actually all their products are "far sueperior" and they highly recommend you buy them all; if not you'll never see results  .

The whole thing just seemed over the top to me. It's the best program for gaining strength, the best for losing weight, the best to gain mass, oh hell it's just the best there is. It seems that there's no room for your own personal additions or subtractions. If you don't follow the program word for word, you won't see results (have you ordered your protein yet?).

I'm sure that it's probably a good program if you stick with it, and eat a solid diet. Then again, if you train hard and follow proper diet you'll see results regardless. Follow it for a few weeks and see if you like it, don't just take my word for it.

i saw this post i just had to reply! first, i started lifting about a year ago and i got some nice gains my first 6 months then i just hit a wall couldnt go any further on chest and arms. so i guy told me about max and i tried it. i was stuck at 225 on bench for months i couldnt get more than 4 reps. 4 wks on max ot i was up to 6 reps after 10 wks i was at 255@5 reps so i personally think it kicks ass if u follow it. but be careful the routine is so demanding on my arms i got tendonitis in my left arm and it fucking hurts......
