Married or once married dudes....(or ladies)

I agree it cost me more to get out of it then the get married! Freaking Lawyers find fault in everything you do now a days . Bro I feel you. I see your in love and everything but what you really should ask yourself is this the right time to be dropping cash on rings with gas 5 bucks a gallon? Think about it! But anyway they do make great man made stones now and they cost 1/3 of real stones and they come in colors too.

Does your wife know you feel this way? Does she dislike you too?
Yes it is mutual.....kids come first though ... So were cool for the most part...make it work while ya have to..

When I was married, my hubbie got me a ring that was a bit over 2karats, and it on a plain tiffany style platinum band. It was right around $20,000. I wish I still had that ring. I sold it. Now I miss it. Anyway, he spent too much. We had no business spending that much on a ring. It was crazy.

You know what is even more crazy than an expensive ring or wedding. The cash mexican drop on a kinsenera party for the girls. They drop cash as much cash as weddings cost. How in the hell can the girl's wedding top that?

Yes, they get nutty about the 15 year old's party. Hilarious, actually.

Just curious..how much were you able to get when you sold it?

I think the measure is 2 months salary, something like that, which is complete BS imo, you buy what you can afford.

I told a jewler friend what I was looking for, he ran across one that was 1.3 carat, princess cut, E color, vvs 1, in a Tiffany setting. It was an expensive stone, but he found another jewler who couldn't move it, so I bought it for wholesale value. And then you HAVE to have 2 bands, each have 7 matching princess cut stones as well. It's expensive bro. The only saving grace in the thing is that she gets compliments on it all the time....

yeah. I agree that the rule is silly. Witht he way my expenses are now there would be no way I could spend 2 months salary on a ring if it were women who bought the rings.
