I just watched the new 2001 Battle for the Olympia video and Jay Cutler look absolutely ridiculously fantastic. Ronnie NEVER looked that good.
Flex should have beat Ronnie in '99 as Jay should have beat him in '01.

then again, it are the Weider's who choose the winner. Look at Ronnie last year, he didn't have to be the best to win, but he did.
It is very simple, the Weider's do not want a new winner each year, bad for business.

I disagree that this is the way to do it also but history shows that this is how it's done. Arnold retired when it was Haney's turn. Haney retired when it was Yate's turn. Yates retired when he was no longer the guy they wanted and it was supposed to have been Flex Wheelers turn. Ronnie will retire after this year but will not be defeated this year. True, Cutler should be the Mr. O today. He beat Coleman out right. Shawn should have been the Mr. O when he placed 2nd to Yates as well. Politics as you said are real in our sport. The year leading up to the 98' Mr. O was one of the most exciting ever for the magazine writers. The magazines took advantage of that time to promote up and coming guys. That time will come again next year. I think the New Mr. O will come out of no where just as Coleman did in 98'. I don't think Cutler or Cormier are a shoe in. I think it's going to be a wide open field and we will see someone win it that came out of the wood works.

What r u talkinga bout, ronnie has cuts???? Hell no. He only got cuts up top, but no cuts on his quads what so ever. Jay had perfect abs, and his quads were just amazing. Buttom line is it dont matter how many cuts ronnie has, he should of lost last year. He had a gut people!!!!!!!!!!!!!! come on now. Nobody should win anyshows with gut that big, dont matter how many cuts they have on top. PLus jay did win Mr.o last year, he beat ronnie in pre-judging, i dont know how the fuk ronnie beat Jay just by posing little better. Judges are fags, ronnie shakes his ass and they give him perfect posing scores. Plus ronnie was never good poser anyway. So many pros in olympia are great posers, did they get all the extra points for it?? i dont think so

I'll agree. Ronnie has no separation in his quads and his abs are obviously horrible.
If Cutler continues to improve, he'll be the man at the O. Jay's still in his 20's come on, you really think he'l never surpass Coleman?

It is interesting that Cutler is the youngest Olympia competitor and he's as good as he is. Ronnie Coleman sucked when he was younger...so if Jay doesn't win this year, he'll probably win eventually.
