Mark my word. Mr. Cutler will never beat ronnie.

I hope ronnie comes is shredded and like at 250 or so, and just blows everyone away and then all these fuckers wont be able to talk that mad shit they do!!!!!!!!

Yep. If Ronnie comes in somewhere between 247 and 250, he'll run away with it. He's been taking the whole year to prepare and I think he's feeling the pressure to try to repeat his '98 and '99 O' and his '01 Arnold condition. He comes in like he did at the Arnold in '01, then it's lights out.

JAY BEAT RONNIE 2 OUT OF 3 ROUNDS IN PREJUDGING AND IT IS THE ONLY TIME IN OLYMPIA HISTORY THAT THE WINNER AFTER PREJUDGING DID NOT WIN THE TITLE. CAN YOU SAY POLITICS?

ronnie coleman is a joke. He had a great build the first mr. o
jay was in a lot better shape than ronnie last year. There will always be some contoversy as long as joe weider is in charge

There is some truth to most of the posts however I think Ronnie will still win for the following reasons:

1) Politics - there seems to be politics that helped Ronnie in 2001 so it could happen again.

2) Size - Ronnie is bigger no matter what your opinion is , and if Marcus Ruhl with his synthol arms and hernia torn belly button can win the NOC this year it is pretty obvious size matters in the IFBB and Ronnie has got that one. Renember that Shawn Ray and Flex Wheeler were both smaller then Dorian but did look better and still lost , so even if Jay looks better it doesn't mean he will win.

3) Legacy - In the last 18 years no Mr.O champ has ever lost after winning the title , I don't belive Jay will be the one to break that legacy. It could be broken some day but it won't be Jay who does it. If anything it will be broken by either someone with the total package that equals the current Mr.O or someone who is bigger and freakier ( which Jay does not really have in both cases ).

4) Height - another interesting fact about the Mr.O is that for the past 18 years every Mr.O was between 5'10'' and 6'0'' in height. Maybe that is just a coincidence or maybe it represents the image of Mr.O that the judges are looking for but it seems to me you cannot win the Mr.O at 5'8''.

I just watched the new 2001 Battle for the Olympia video and Jay Cutler look absolutely ridiculously fantastic. Ronnie NEVER looked that good.
Flex should have beat Ronnie in '99 as Jay should have beat him in '01.

The Weiders have to market the sport. Politics is the way they do it. Ronnie will win his 5th Sandow and retire but will not announce his retirement until just before the 2003 Mr. O. That way he will be able to continue to make money on guest appearances, etc. His retirement will leave the sport wide open again and get everyone excited about a new champion again. The Weiders know what they are doing.

I also predicted that Shawn wouldn't do this years Mr. O but just like all pro's do when they retire. They have a year to wait before they announce it so the money can continue to flow in. I don't think Levrone is gonna do it either. It's time for the new guys to take over the reigns.

Hanney 8x's
Arnold 7x's
Yates 6x's
Coleman 5x's

first off i think that shawn already has enough money and the reason he is not doing this years O is because there will be such a tough lineup that i dont think he will make top 5..between coleman cutler cormier flex and jay its a tough one...

and i hope flex come onto the stage this year at about 220 and then hopefully he will win but most likely wont happen

peace

I agree they have to market the sport but I disagree that this is the way to do it. The pro atheletes should be marketable on their own merit , not because competitions are rigged for them to win or lose. You cannot call it a competition if the winner and losers are more or less decided , that is called theatre. If we are going to have "worked" contests like pro wrestling or pro figure skating then at least be honest to the public and state that it is just entertainment and not a legitamite competition. Until then they claim these competitions are real and therefore they are being deceptive to the public which is wrong.

I also disagree about people being excited because of a new winner after the prevoius one retires , i believe people will be more exicted if they know that the compeition is legit and anyone could win and only the best athelete that night will win. I promise you that this would be more exciting then rigging the show.

The fact is that a bodybuilding competition is not an action pact event , it isn't boxing or wreslting where people can get hurt in front of your eyes during a one on one confrontation.... THAT is exciting....bodybuilding does not have that element. Therefore bodybuilding is a sport where people pay money to see amazing physiques that people want to aspire to. If you don't award the atheletes who best represent what the public wants to aspire to then your hurting the sport which is what is happening now. Do you really think that the audience boo's the top ten every year because the weider's are giving the people what they want to see?! Why is it bodybuilding exploded in the 60's and 70's? Because people wanted to see and look like Arnold and Frank Zane , that is not true today. The day that they change this will be the day the sport booms again.
