Im so sick of these swat teams populated by average ass cops who have it in their head they are on a Special Forces team in Iraq. They continually forget "presumed innocent until proven guilty" is not just a disclaimer at the end of "Cops", it is the way the legal system and law enforcement are to look at suspects. Not letting paramedics into the house over "security concerns" in a 1200 square foot house sounds vindictive, it was certainly safe enough for them to execute a full search and come up with nothing... Law enforcement officials, when they commit criminal acts, should be prosecuted with no credit whatsoever for their previous service. The legal system's unquestioning acceptance of police testimony in trials, and blind eye to police brutality, or justification thereof, is inexcusable and just as much a threat to the public safety as the drug dealers they are so willing to endanger the community to bring down, men that traffic in narcotics should not be viewed as dangerous just because they have drugs... I guarantee that, instead of treating this individual with MORE respect for his service, their fingers were all the more tight on the trigger knowing they were kicking a Marine's door, as they were going in a place with someone who would actually would pose a threat to them if he decided to resist. Unfortunately, the raid happened on THEIR terms, and as such THEY are to blame for its outcome. Knocking on the door and serving the warrant 4 hours later would have been just as effective. Shameful
