Male Estradiol Levels

FIRST OFF, I apologize if this has been asked before. The search returns way to many non-relevant threads.

I'm looking to find out what effect the estrogen Estradiol has on males. For example, does this specific estrogen cause things like Gyno or are other estrogens responsible for this? The reason I ask is I sent in one of those home saliva test and had my progesterone and estradiol levels tested. The estradiol came back high. It made me think because basically in the 6th or 7th grade I developed a lump under each nip. To this day (10 years later) they are still there and my nips sometimes hurt for no reason. Plus within the past year or two I'm getting way too much hair on my back, I'm tired most of the time, etc. Oh yeah, I've always had that puffy soft look too (though my strength is way above average) at 11% BF.

I haven't done a single cycle yet. My test level was 816 last time I had it tested (6 months ago). My prolactin was a little high but basically fine (according to the Endo I saw). Anyway, I was thinking about experimenting with Arimidex by itself to see what happens. Any thoughts?

I got blood work done and now have to go back and get more done because my estrogen was really high. I think it was 211 and normal was 50-115. I'm not sure if it was my estradiol, But I have to go back and get my serum estrogen checked. I too have puffy nipps that hurt sometimes. What was your estrogen levels? I started taking liquidex and I feel less bloated and have been stronger, its defitnetly worth trying.

Estrogen has the same effect on males as on females. Fat accumulation, water retention, gyno are some of the negative effects. Second, there is no estrogen blood test--Estradiol is the test run. You want your estradiol levels in the low range. Someone recently posted an excellent article on why males do not need estrogen. I am of the school that believes in minimizing estrogen/estradiol levels in males for reduced gyno/fat accumulation and longevity/anti-aging purposes.

I used a saliva test. The normal range listed for males was 0.5 to 1.5. Mine came back at 1.7. Though, it is not as accurate as a blood test. I think I'll try running the Arimidex after all. Maybe 0.5 to 1mg a day for 2-3 weeks. I know it wont get rid of the already existing lumps but maybe it will help in the other areas. I'll let everyone know how it goes....
