Lyme Disease

Vagabino said:
doesn't that help keep tics off though? what else can you do, short of not going in the woods?

well keeping ticks off is a good start, but since they are unsure if it's spread by other insects, there really is no sure way.
That's why it's scary.

I'm also now hearing one can get it from eating Venison.

It's going to take research to prove most of this. But you know, I was never bit by a tick (that I know of) and have lyme.

Right now I'm trying a cocktail of six herbs shown to be toxic to borrelia in vitro. Big difference between killing Bb in a petrie dish and killing it in the deep tissue of the human body though. A naturopath is running human trials on people with lyme disease and I'm getting a blend of the herbs listed individually below. I can only think of five of them off-hand though.

http://store.nexternal.com/shared/S...oreType=BtoC&Count1=70385158&Count2=987525582

Bulk plants: Ajos Sacha
Extracts: Bellaco-Caspi, Chanca Piedra, Huacapu, Matico and Tamamuri.

After two weeks I can say for sure my arthritic pain has gotten noticably worse and I think my headaches are worse too. Hopefully this is the Jaris-Herxheimer effect and the bacteria is actually being killed off. I cant take the amount of detox herbs while taking this stuff as I was previously so maybe my symptoms will really remit when I cycle off this therapeutic stuff and detox for a week or more.

If you've tested positive on lab tests for Borellia Burgdorferi and any of the common associated infections you can email Admin of the linked site to participate in the trial. The herbal blend of all six herbs will be provided free of charge if you are within the first 100 to apply. Otherwise you'll have to purchase the herbs and get them individually.

Hey, good info.
I'm stopping all abx in 3 weeks and will get a coctail from my homeopath from there.
I met a women on my lyme site who's daughter is being treated with herbs from lyme specialist. I can email you her list if you want to see it.

I've not been tested for any co infections b/c they are unreliable and don't want to dish out the funds for it. I know Frye is good, but not sure it's full proof.
I am sure I have bart though.

And girl, you just know you're having a herx....good sign. Kill those bugs.
Detox baths really helped when I was herxing

Keep me posted on the progress. I'm now a firm believer more people have gone into long term remission from herbs than abx.

Yes definitely I'd like to see her herb protocol, thanks. The naturopath perscribing the regime I'm following is supposedly an herbal expert, but she has no particular expertise in treating LD, so it'd be good to compare this regime against others.

Why are you sure you've got Bartonella? What sxs are you experiencing?

I have always wondered what about the tick that has Lyme that has attached to an animal. Has it been confirmed yet, I surely don't doubt it. I mean if you can get lyme from the tick than why not an animal such as deer, cow, etc.
That is scary when you actually sit down and think about it all.
