Lumbosacral Epidural Steroid Injection anyone?

anyone ever had one of these? if so did it work for you and what was your injury? i get to have one on june 8th for a herniated disc in my lower back. shit i'll take 10 of them if they help!

I've heard they help quite a bit; many guys I work with have either gone under the knife, or had the injections----interestingly enough, most that have had the injections have eventually had to have surgery.

i was actually wondering about that mike. if the injection is just masking the pain. have the people you have known had the "major" surgery or the orthascopic and were their results good?

also....i had and got my mri back last night.....i havn't talked to the doc yet but i can clearly see the disc bulging out in my lower back. he prescribed celebrex for me which is an anti-inflamatory and seems to be working very well so far! i actually feel better today than i have in years, and am fixing to leave to go to my second training session of the day
