LSAT+Steroids=Scholarships

I just got off a 14 weeker of Cyp with some Var thrown in between. The whole time all I did was train, finish my classes for school, and study for the LSAT. The girlfriend tried to tell me that doing a cycle and studying for the LSAT would work against. She tried saying that I wouldn't train or study well enough to do well. I gained 15 solid lbs. I took the LSAT on December 6 and got a 166. She's a freakin Liar! Now she can't get into med school because her MCAT sucks and I'm going to law school for free.

She's not a liar; she's just a downer. Congrats.

Thanks. Maybe Needto can throw me a discount code for a bottle of two of Sustain to congratulate me.

well, the world needs ditchdiggers too ya know..

she can always get a job at hooters to pay for the apartment while you go to lawschool..

how are you going for free? even with a 4.0 and a 166. minority scholarship??

I'm going to the *Big* top 50 state school. I have a 3.9 GPA with a double major in accounting. A 166, my GPA, and the fact that on paper I am a child of a widower who makes less than $30k makes me a shoe-in on a number of levels.

Shoe-in for loans? Or do you somehow think that your parent(s) income is a major admissions factor?

I got a full ride to a few schools with an UG 3.8 GPA and a 168 LSAT. I go to a T-10, but I have to pay for it. I think I made the right choice though.

Not a shoe-in for loans. In my state, the financial position of the person applying is a serious consideration in scholarships. My dad files under $30k in income as married filing jointly because he is a widower. So to a financial aid adviser I look like I'm living out of a cardboard box. Hence scholarships.

schadenfreude bro--bad mojo...........but you will make a great lawyer....assuming your GF is not so mad as to dime you to the cops and then forget about ever getting through character and fitness with a felony conviction.

Engineering + steroids = probably tougher

I could never concentrate cause I was staring at one of the two chicks in the class worth nailing and thinking of doing terrible terrible things to them and getting into arguments with professors.

What kind of TTT LS gives you a full ride for a 166?

Enjoy Cooley.

I scored a 167 back in 1994 without a prep course and hungover, they shouldn't test on the weekend. I was crossing my fingers to get accepted. :)

I knew a chick at UT on scholarship that scored a 165 but she also had a 3.98 undergrad GPA from a decent school.

Law schools outside of the T14 don't count as real law schools, especially IN THIS ECONOMY.

After your first job, nobody cares where you went to school.

Your ability to perform is more important than your pedigree. :)

Bullshit, your connections are more important than your education. My ex-wife's aunt was a hiring partner for Arthur Andersen back in the day and I was guaranteed a tax attorney position. People with connections get accepted to programs they would never get accepted to otherwise.

Um, and when have you practiced law?

Never, thank god, but having worked for the PD and Prosecutor's office in law school I know you overcharge as the prosecutor and play the waiting game as the defense. Civil suits work the same way, a corporation will drag out a lawsuit and pay frivolous suits eventually.

It's all poker and bluffing...

She would have scored higher on the MCAT if she understood that testosterone is what makes men smarter than women.

I'll make sure she gets the memo. She was a double major in biology and woman's studies. So she will fully understand the chauvinistic truth. Thanks Java. Ha!

Connections are everything, especially in the legal practice.

When you attend an Ivy league school you are in effect buying into a network and the people in the network take care of people in the network.

Yep, get the right internship or have the right father and you're golden. The most "successful" attorney in the area, worth millions, graduated from UT and joined his father's practice. He had a crush on my ex-wife back in the day, I told her she made a huge mistake by marrying me. :)

Stefka may need some Jesus cred if she wants to go into public service...

Just sayin'...:)

Nah, I think the JD from a T10 and a resume packed full of public interest work worked out well for me. I'm like employed and shit!!! omgomgomg
