Low T . Anyone with hrt/trt experience please take a sec to help a bro out

I'm more of a lurker but I have posted a few times and there are a lot of good bros on here with a lot of knowledge so here goes. So I went to the urologist the other day to see about the ol snip snip and while I was there I told him I wanted to do some blood work due to being really fatigued, low libido, sleep issues, etc. I also told him about my ph use and how I had run 2 aas cycles before. Called today and the nurse told me my T is really low, something with my gall bladder that she isn't sure on but he doc will know, and I need to drink more water. Thyroid and everything else looked good. I have to call back Wednesday because the doc didn't look at them yet but she asked if me and the doc had talked about hrt which we haven't yet. My T was 133 on a range of 300-900. From you guys with experience what should I expect and ask? The only thing I know is i don't want androgel from the things I've read. I never wear shirts or pants and my kids and wife are always one me that's one of he reasons. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I don't have the results in hand yet and that's all she told me.

Some HRT docs like the gels/pellets b/c is "appears" more legit and "in theory" there are no peaks/valleys as with inject. Just say you want to inject and thus you will likely get Cyp (smooth like you never felt) at about 1 mg/100 ml about every 5 days. However, you can't have the risk factors like dangerous cholesterol/BP/High RBC count/other similar issues. It's really a crap shoot based on all numbers and the doc's own beliefs.

But, they may try other things to see why you are so low-rule out some of the "not so nice" causes.

Finally talked to nurse and the doc wants me to go in next wed because he wants to run more blood test to make sure there is no underlying reasons for my low t and wants to give me a 400mg shot of depo test to see how I feel after. Are there any other things I should be asking about like support supps or what not? Also because it is through a urologist it should be covered under insurance right?

Just got my first shot. Test cyp 400mg and damn you are right, that shit was so smooth. I didn't even feel the oil when she injected.

Nice he did that, but is it a one time injection? Is he going to give you shots at the office every 2-3 weeks? If thats his plan you are going to feel worse than you do now roller coasting....you gotta ask him to prescribe it for home use, and split it up do two shots a week...and ask him for arimidex to control estrogen, HCG to keep your nuts plump...then once you are on 3-4 months, redo labs to see where your T is and estrogen so you can adjust arimidex if needed....

getting one huge shot and then nothing could make you worse, you want consistent and frequent shots so your T levels are stable.... I do Sun/Wed, maybe every 5 days as someone said works well too...

Best of luck, but Id figure out really fast if this doc is going to help you do it right or if you need to do some searching and find someone else in your area who is familair with HRT/TRT and letting you inject at home, and gets you something to control estrogen, and HCG

Doc wasn't in today but they made me an appt for 2 weeks. I agree with you on the weekly or biweekly shots. As soon as I left the office I called a close friend who is a rn and she said just get him to right the script for home and she would come shoot me. Doc wasn't in today just his nurse so I didn't get to ask him about arimidex or hcg which I wanted to but the receptionist said he will be in for my next visit. Hey thanks for all the help and advice man I really appreciate it. Plus my insurance makes me pay 35 everytime I walk into his office which blows. I thought it would be a followup which is free but I was wrong. Hell I can fill the script at walgreens for $10 if he gives it to me. If he doesn't seem to knowledgeable with trt and arimidex and all that should I look for another urologist or endocrinologist?

there are websites and forums on HRT, start searching those forums and looking for TRT or HRT references to doctors in your area....could be family docs, funtional/integrative docs, doesnt have to be specialist and sometimes the specialists are less likely to prescribe for home use and looking at it black and white if you dont have some well established traditional endocrine issue they are too conservative to go full blown TRT with ya and get you home shots with HRT+AI

id start looking now...or if you have a friendly enough family doc you can bring in articles and talk sense and convice them that Test+HCG+arimidex is kinda the standard for someone with low T levels like yourself
