low carb isnot working for me nemore..what else

should i consume more carbs or more fat .? i weight 130 and ake in just oatmeal in my 1st meal and dextrose post workoiut...bout 60 carbs alltogether including veggies,,,i have 180 grams of protein and 30 grams of EFA fats,,,should i eat more fat or just add more carbs..i have a refeef of 150 grams of carbs twice a week on heavy training days// mayye extra carbs wont make me fat but im afraid they will
 
If low carbs aren't working for you, I'd go to a moderate carb diet (150-200 grams) and keep the fat low. I'm not convinced that low carb is the way to go either. Calories are what deteremine the amount of weight you lose, macronutrient ratios are of less importance. Just make sure you are getting enough protein, and you should be fine.

or

moderate carbs, high prot, low fat
 
In my experience CARBS are key . . .

When it's time to bulk I increase my overall % of CARBS consumed and when it's time to LEAN-OUT (I don't really cut, lean to me is 10% b/f) I decrease the % of CARBS.

Within each cycle I do INCREASE/DECREASE calories accordingly along with the percentage.

i been doing this diet for 4 months...carb cycling and low cxarbing on non trainng days..i do HIIT cardio with some walking on other days..............wut to do? mabye i cant have abs ..as long as its flat..lol....or i should cut out the whey and dextrose post workout( i only have this shake 3 times a week)
 
So you're eating 30g x 9cals =270 cals fat
180g x 4cals=720 cals protein
And less than 60g x 4cals=240 cals carbs (how much of those carbs are fiber??)

For a grand total of a maximum 1240 cals per day, and only 150g carbs for refeeds, and you wonder why your fatloss has stalled???

so if i eat more carbs for one day..say 200? the fat loss will begin again or should i increase calories dailyy from fat /or carbs....do i have to refeed twice a week with 200 grams of carbs for how long to begin and restart my metabolism...thanks

Eat 500 grams of carbs, not 200. And, how often depends on numerous factors. Assuming your fat loss has slowed drastically, you probably do need 2 refeeds per week.
 
I am a bit confused in here, so let me clear up some things...

If you're bulking:
Intake around 135g of protein
Intake around 310g of carbohydrates
Intake around 40g of fat

Are you bulking?
 
OK...

Depending on your metabolism:

Calories=Bodyweight x 11-12kcals
Protein=Bodyweight x 1.25-1.5g
Carbs=Bodyweight x 0.8-0.9g
Fat=Bodyweight x 0.27-0.30g

i been doing that..and cardio...mabye im burning too much by doing cardio and eating 1300 calories a day..i could be holding onto fat..should i stop the cardio and eat the same 1400 calories and still cut?

I don't understand your question. First you say you want to get cut, now you say you "burn too much"...

If you want to get cut (meaning shredded, full, ripped), then you must do cardio, intake 1350 calories in a day.

Follow the macronutrient list that I posted...

Not kidding, 500 grams of carbs is 2000 calories -- that is not THAT much, even in a 130 lbs person. 100 grams of protein = 400 more. You want to minimize fat, but you will still probably get 50 grams, which = 450 calories. This is under 3000 calories. It is a REFEED. You are supposed to eat a lot.

Maybe go as low as 400 carbs, but 200 is a waste of time.

Yup, that's why we love missdyd..........You can tell her EXACTLY what to do to solve her problem and she still won't do it. She'll be asking this Q again for at least another 10 posts. She's been asking her current question now for 4 months.
 
I'm thinking Par Deus said that because missyd has been dieting for 4 months now without a high carb refeed to boost her leptin levels, therefore her fatloss has stalled. Your advice was good as far as it went, but did not allow for periodic refeeds, which is what Par Deus (and I) both think missyd needs right now.
 
thanks par and ms...but how bout just having carbs like oatmeal daily in my 1st 2 meals of the day....like 30 grams for breakfast and 30 grams ofr luuch and veggies for dinner..i cannot possible have twice a week 500 grams of carbs

Why not? Look at the title of your post! In fact, I think you should take at least a week off of dieting and cardio and eat 500g carbs every day for 5-7 days. That should kick start your fatloss.
