Losing your size and strength after quiting AAS?

pitbullstl said:
No, you won't. I've been training for 16 years, and been on and off again with AAS for 7-8 years. I have been off of everything for almost a year, other than a maintenance dose of test that is Dr. prescribed. Granted I have phenomenal genetics..(not bragging, just stating) We'll see in 5-6 years what happens bodywise....but the slow burn of the last year or so, I have seen 265-280 @ 6-9% go to a solid 255 @ 10-12% (I'm barely 6')

My daughter's need a flexible dad to kick the soccer ball around, and after turning 30, it was high time to take a long look at things, and decide what was important.

What you lose depends on you, genetics play a huge role, but diet and training are equally as important. :)

There you go....gains slowly diminish in time when completely off :0

In regards to personal experience I ahve been on for approx the past 6 years or so but in August of 2002 I was in an accident and had to undergo several surgeries. I was completely off and out of training until this past August . Prior to the accident I was 250lbs at 5'10"/ 19 1/2" arms/ 29" quads/ 34" waist. Right before I got back to training I took my stats and they were 220lbs/18" arms/27" quads/36" waist. Now remeber that was two years of being clean, not training at all except for physical therapy and my diet was half-assed. Those are not bad losses especially without training at all. From August until now I am 235lbs/ 19" arms/ 28" quads and a 34" waist. Just imagine if I was able to train during that time and remained clean I would have been able to probably maintain. I think it all comes down to your genetics and how hard you follow up with your training and most importantly your diet.

Id probably go down to 220-225lbs at 10% and lose alot of strength.

Your strength will go first and that is the depressing part.

Sacrificing strength for BF% is not something I am willing to do.

Well I'm planning to do my first cycle soon Test Ena, M1T, and EQ (please no M1T bashing after extensive research I'm replacing it instead of DBOL) right now stats are 6 feet weight 238lbs 13% body fat I have used pro hormones before but I have pretty much trained naturally. The way I see things is that you should do two cycles a year and you will gain muscle and keep most of it. For example a bulking cycle during winter and cutting cycle during the summer each about 8-10 weeks long. It also depends on your goals ofcourse. If your serious about competing then this is not the way to go but if your lifter that wants gains I think this is a good Idea.!!!

No one mentioned quitting training. It's the suspended use of AAS, that's the topic here, and personal experience is more than relevant. If your genetic makeup is catabolic, train harder.

read the post i quoted...dial tone said he stopped training for a long period of time.

train harder huh?...thats the solution....thank for clearing that up

taking gh and igf-1 wont mean you eill keep your gains, actually without aas in the equation, there will be minimal gains at most.

Yep....train harder smart guy. That's the answer. I mean I know you have Anabolic Steroidoligist as your self imposed title, and you do pay a whole $11.00 a month for your flashing platinum status, but some of us actually know what were talking about. Roll your eyes somewhere else Doc. :)

What do you mean loose it all? And what do you mean quit? Forever, Cycle???
I'm 6'4" 255 so i think i fit your specs for this Q But if you quit gear period and keep lifting, yes you're going to naturally loose the muscle mass you gained slowly. You wouldn't loose necessarily everything, but remember what you looked like b4 you started gear? Your natural genetics only let you get SO big, size that is gained on gear is sustained by staying on gear or cycling.
ur a big mother fucker detroit... nice
