lol at the government going to shut down.

if you live paycheck to paycheck and you are a federal employee I've got no sympathy for you. You already make more than fair market value for the job you do..if you're financially irresponsible on top of that, that's your own problem. Go broke and starve to death.

Wow I guess you didn't do much research there buddy. All that nonsense that was said how federal employees make average 101k a year and bull was basically proved inaccurate. They failed to say that they were also Including lawyers and such who were actually making from 20k-100k per year less than the civilian side. Most of the professions for the fed government are underpaid to the civil side. Now don't get me wrong but there are people who do make more than they should with the Feds but it's around 20 percentish if I remember correctly. So before you bite off on the bull dig a little more into it.

That used to be true, workers traded higher wages for benefits and higher security. But here is what has changed:

1) Federal wages have continued to increase at a faster rate than the private sector.

2) Federal benefits have continued to escalate. Furthermore while the rest of the world moved to defined contribution plans, the government (and the oldest unions) have stayed with defined benefit plans.

3) Federal job security has also outpaced the private sector as well.

So no, it's a real mess now. We've got a new class of entitled worker that needs to be at least 60% downsized.

SS and Medicare checks will not be interrupted. But it does make a great libtard fear point.

Hence me suggesting a true shutdown.

It could start by Americans opening books to help themselves better understand how the economy/financial system actually work. Most Americans vote/support the politicians who speak the best and are the most persuasive. If we payed attention using knowledge and not emotion we might have a chance, maybe.

We could fix some of our crazyness with one simple change. Make withholding income taxes illegal. Let the taxpayers write individual checks on a quarterly basis so they can see what their government is actually stealing from them.

Holy shit you aint lying rob. I started to pay quarterlies last year since being all 1099 and it sucks cock cutting that check to the IRS 4x year. Everyone should have to do it, there would be a revolution.

lol @ the House GOP leaders thinking that they have a mandate to hold the country hostage for a budget bill that doesn't stand a chance in hell of passing the Senate or getting signed by the President. Way to make a stand on principles.
