i have flex hours HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
by that I assume you mean you come and go at your leisure as long as your work is getting done. and if you work over a certain # of hours you can take the time back as well? i think that's pretty much true for any professional position. I come and go like that as well - i decide if im leaving early (rarely do) and if I have to leave in the middle of the day for a PT appt (like tomorrow), etc and if I have to work anytime outside normal hours (like training peeps on the weekens which we did recently) then I take days off during the week to make up for that time and it's all pretty flexible. but I have a professional position and so do you I presume. we're both college educated and we arent shift workers. shift workers have a different arrangement and they are non-exempt (hourly) employees.
do you get paid by the hour or salary?>

Isn't that "the American way"? One of the things that I have always hated about how many Americans just coast through life, doing just enough to get by, spend their money on all sorts of stupid shit, are up to their asses in debt then have THE AUDACITY to bitch about "foreigners" coming to the US and busting their asses (we are talking the playpen is in the store while 80 yr/old grandma is stocking shelves) and *surprize* *surprize* THEY ACTUALLY GET SOMEWHERE.

Being self-employed is definitely not easy (though those who work for someone else all seem to think it is).

If it were easy NO ONE would work for someone else.

This is when we should be thankful for immigrants. They come to North America and take the shitty jobs we don't want and they work friggin hard. They never complain and they work their way up the ladder. Most immigrants I know now own their own businesses.

Smurf, the nature of that job require ppl to be at their desks. I think it's a tough way to work, but they signed up for it. Hire immigrants, you will NEVER hear them complain!

LOL

Married into wealth? Who told you that?

How many times do I have to say it, "When I married my husband he was as broke a broke dick dog as a broke dick dog gets. The bastard was HOMELESS when we married. My sister even paid for our wedding rings."

ANYTHING WE HAVE TODAY, WE HAVE BECAUSE WE FOUGHT FOR IT TOGETHER. :qt:

Sure, but you have to admit your husband was a CEO and has an overall "success" type character or something like that which means his brokeness was temporary. Kind of like how trump has declared bankruptcy before and look at him now.
Theres a difference between broke and poor, broke is temporary, poor is usually forever. Obviously this doesnt mean youre a golddigger but you definetely knew he wouldnt be broke for long.

That is why I have always said for me to size up a perspective mate the NUMBER ONE most important characteristic he must possess is BRAINS. That doesn't make me superficial, that makes me smart as well.

Now as far as him having a "success" type character, true. But that was only if I believed all the "fantastic-sounding" (and by fantastic, I don't mean necessarily a good thing, I am talking more borderline unbelievable) stuff that he was telling me as I began to get to know him. I only knew my husband a very short time before I consented to marry him which could have been a monumental disaster had he lied about anything.... which he very well could have. One of the reasons why our second date (which lasted 2 weeks like our first one did) was in Dallas was because he wanted me to see every single facet of his life as it was before it unraveled and how it was as it was unraveling and how he was busting his ass to recover.

You see folks, he trusted me first, believed every single whacked out FACT that I told him without question. He said he fell in love with and trusted MY HEART. For a man to be able to do this (even though he had been and was getting royally fucked because he trusted the wrong people in the past) meant that he was of sound character - that he could trust so deeply, because he was THAT trustworthy.

How many people can make that same claim?

Even today as he circulates the class action suit that is being brought against the company he was with (the ones that robbed him blind in connection w/a woman he was living with at the time) to his old clients (investors that had tens if not hundreds of millions stolen from them) they all recieve him warmly! Now, if that doesn't tell you something about my husband's character.... I don't know what does.

He has been in oil and gas for over 20 years and he is one of the few that has been honorable throughout, that is no small accomplishment. Nowadays the crooks in the business are even ripping each other off! ... SUCH A DIRTY BUSINESS!!!

My husband made (and pissed away) A LOT of money throught his lifetime but he did it through his smarts and hard work. The fact that my family and I trusted him when he was at the lowest point that he had been since he left home at 16 speaks to OUR character. So anyone who dares to even TRY to call me a gold-digger or liar or whatever other negative name had better check themselves and recognize. :qt:
