LMAO Ridiculous Email I got today from someone who works for someone who works for me

interesting, the men who work for me generally are the ones I have the best relationship with.

But you have to admit, you are hardly a "typical woman"... are you?

I have never been "the boss" of men (or women for that matter). I am not management material - period. Believe it or not, because I am "not enough of a bitch."

I work best independent of other people. Tell me what you expect of me and let me figure out the best way to get it done. If I need your help, I will let you know, but do NOT ride my ass. <---- self-employment heaven.

If I don't suck it up and bust my ass then I will be forced to work for "someone else".... *shudders* NO WAY I want to go back to that.

The only times I have enjoyed working for someone else is when my co-workers were primarily men. Women are VERY hard to deal with.

in my experience, professional women tend to be ULTRA-bitches to female underlings, and vice versa.

A jealously thing? darwinian competitiveness? Sand in the nanni? who knows.

:whatever:

lol you dont have to be a bitch to be a manager. in fact, if you are perceived as a bitch, you wont be very successful. being a successful manager is more about developing relationships with people, and knowing how to motivate and encourage them to be productive while focusing on the desired outcomes. ive managed people off and on going back over 12 yrs and I've always had positive relationships with those who work for me and with me. perhaps that's why Im chosen to be a manager. im not a power hungry cunt and i dont get off on telling others what to do. what i do get off on is providing the necessary tools and support so that those who work in my department can get their job done and we can meet our goals. we have a positive work environment but anytime you implement something new or try to enforce a rule that's really always existed, you always meet resistance. that's a given. it's how you handle it that matters. Im not into playing games or having arguments. I always like to keep things as simple as possible. if someone in particular has a specific beef or question, i prefer to deal with that on a one-on-one than in an email string to the whole department.

I am just not good at conflict as I am a smushy person. I hate to reprimand.

I LOVE being a mother and relish interacting with my family from a position of authority but when it goes beyond that, I admit it. I am just no good.

I realize my limitations and my strengths... I just go with what works for me. :)

I am one of those artsy-fartsy, buck authority-types but deep down I am a major pushover... So I step back and let my hubby do the managing of everything outside of the home... but in the home - I wear the pants. LOL He keeps trying to push me to handle more stuff outside, but I just don't feel comfortable asserting myself in many situations.

that's so interesting to me because outside of work I have little to no desire to be "in charge" of anything. I'm more the type of person who prefers to dance along the periphery. For instance within my immediate family, I am the oldest of 4, but I am the most laid back and I just kind of go along with the crowd. I definitely dont have a strong personality in comparison to my siblings and other family members.

It is an interesting dichotomy, is it not?

My hubby is the opposite. He is in TOTAL CONTROL, has a very commanding presence but at home he is actually sort of "squishy" - totally yielding to me.

Gosh, I couldn't even bring myself to fire the totally incompetent pool guy or gardner. I said so freaking sheepishly, "My husband said...." I HATE that I can be such a candy ass.
