Liquid Keto diet

Mr X., a while ago someone had postred about using jsut shakes and no whole food for a diet. One response was that it was not a good idea because your metabolism would slow greatly.
First off, why does that occur?
in the same post it said that shakes were digested in 45 mins, but with the addition of fat would the digestion be slowed?
Also what about two food meals and say 4 or five shakes of isopure and flax....... would that keep the metabolism goign or not?

It was not the shakes that were creating the problem, it was the caloric intake (overall), for it was way BELOW BMR; thus, creating a phase of starvation which is counterproductive and leads to non-existant fat-loss, plus after the calories go back up--the fat gain is going to be grand. The main reason I dissaproved of that persons diet because of the problem w/ starvation involved. That has nothing to do w/ the general BMR caloric intake that can be done w/ shakes.

If you drink shakes then you need to make sure you have the right fat/protein ratio, but, also, you need to look at your meal frequency, I recommend doing no more then 3 shakes a day just to be on the safe side, of course you could easily get into Ketosis if you use the right ratios (protein shake or no protein shake). Like I said, it's not what you eat, it's the ratios you follow.
