Like shin splints, but in the forearms???

kinda, mostly the pain comes right after i let go of the barbell. like as soon as i open my hand.

so i should use heat and ice?

heat and ice baby

Ah yes.. I recall this feeling well! I used to get it about once a year. It happened mostly at the beginning of my weight-lifting career.. when I was increasing weight the fastest.. and it was the most painful thing ever! I fought with it for over a year once.. and finally, it just got better. As I got older, it finally went away for good. It sucks ass. Like they said.. ice and heat.. and take lots of ibuprofen before an arm workout. There's just not much else you can do!

it's forearm splints, just like shin splints. i got it from heavy benching, it goes away just work thru it for now

Use a 16% menthol rub pre training and before bed. Something like Flexall 454 will work. Cissus will help too. I take 5gm a day. Sometimes I get this and then it just goes away. I felt it today doing weighted dips.

i had this a LOOOONG time ago and it has just come back in the last couple weeks. Any time i do bb curls or that motion i get a feeling like the muscle is ripping away from the bone in my forearms. Doesn't really hurt while doing exercise, but when i rack the weight and let go it starts killing me.

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Probably due to the fact that you are using a straight bar. This puts alot of stress on your forearms. Might wanna switch over to an ez bar or try a wider or narrower grip.

I would not jump right to an injury like tendonitis guys, from what i gather its the first time it has happened to him in a while, not a chronic ongoing thing.

i always use a straight bar and it has only popped up the last two weeks. i had it probably 7 years ago last time and it eventually went away.

i'll try the ice/heat and the rub. thanks
