Ya that shit is awesome, payday for me and also some friends have to eat their words! Did Rua make a showing? I hope Jackson gets a shot at Rua, that fight will be good.

punch to the chin stunned his ass then knocked him out cold when he was on the ground.. ref stopped it after he was flat.

didn't see rua.. i hope chuck rematches jackson and gets destroyed again..

tv?

rampage beats chuck 9 times out of 10 anyday. chuck just doesnt matchup against an all around brawler. he's better against 1 dimentional fighters like randy(wrestling - although his standup was superb against slyvia) and babalu (BJJ), and tito ortiz is just a pussy when it comes to chuck.

Chuck got knocked out by bullshit stoppage typical of the UFC anymore.

Jackson is a punk.

They are selling the rematch.

Rampage whooped dat ass like he said he was gonna do. Chuck was done after the first hit on the ground. McCarthy saved Chuck a trip to the ER.

Affirmative Action Referees, mang. :)

I'm stunned that he beat him standing up.......I actually told people that rampage might win because chuck was so marking for a knockout......and in MMA when you're so insistent on one way of winning, you usually don't. I thought rampage had a chance of winning, but not standing........damn, that's just fucked..........but I have no problems with rampage as the champ, class act.....he is no punk.

how is that a racist comment? everyone in rampages camp is white who fucken cares..

any vids of this fight online yet?

They keep getting posted on youtube but zuffa cuts them off quick so you just have to keep searching until someone else posts it.

chuck had a belly. what's up with that? and to me it looked like it was stopped too early. that was down right retarded. i would demand my money back.

Consider the fact that the most experienced Ref in the world in that situation was the one who stopped the fight and that Chuck is the face of UFC. Which is a better call, stopping the fight without Chuck getting injured and thus affording him a rematch or taking a chance that he might recover and having him get seriously injuried by one of the worlds top fighters being all over him early in a fight as he is shook up?

tell that to chuck.

fuck chuck. He didn't want to brawl anyway, he was just looking and waiting for a punch on Jackson to avoid a heavy hitting fight. This is MMA and we want a champion who will take the fight to the opponent so we can see some action and not a chess match, that is why we need action jackson.

lol AT Belly --- he's not a spring chicken and he's got money now --- nuff said!

Fedor has one too and he can beat anybody in the world in hand-to-hand combat. Physique means very little in the fight game.

I love all of your sig BRR, especially the part about fighting solves everything. Passive people need to be stepped on, the best part is they won't complain because they are passive.

Thanks bro.

My signature carries a different meaning depending on who is reading it.
To me, fighting has solved all of my problems... I don't mean street fighting either. I mean being in the Gym and training my body and pushing my mind past its limits. Learning by discipline and exercising my will thru perseverance. Learning about myself thru combat and pain. The SPORT of fighting has solved all of my problems. Thats what the signature means to me...

I do agree however that a punch to the mouth can solve problems pretty quickly. Very quickly actually.

That is how I took it, you have to "fight for everything" and if you don't then I really can't feel for you. I actually fight once in a blue moon at best and rarely see the need to but being strong in life or "fighting" does solve everything imho. k to ya bro.

So can a bat to the face, but not the correct way of solving problems.

Also, I see a gut as getting in the way. Having extra weight especially in the mid section can slow a fighter down, and I think being faster is better. One guy getting away with it doesn't make it a rule of thumb.

if you think fedor has a gut, how bout that mark hunt?? that guy is probably the best hand striker in the business......fast and god awful powerful, which you would expect from someone in the 290's at 5'11. And in his last match with fedor, he actually out manuevered fedor the whole fight when fedor tried to go to the ground.......if it weren't for his proclivity to getting arm barred or key locked, Hunt would have beat fedor......he dominated him.

i'm sure with some liposuction, they will be even faster and quicker.

everybody's body mechanics and how it relates to the way they learned to fight is different. If Mark Hunt dropped 50 pounds, would he be the fighter he is? It's hard to imagine fedor being any better if he dropped 20 or so pounds. In fact, in fedor's case it would probably hurt him.....unless he dropped enough weight to get into the LHW class......otherwise, he'd be getting thrown around. He trains at the weight he is.......he's learned to move his body at that weight. Some of those LHW guys walk around at 220-230, than drop down to 205 shortly before the fight........that never made sense to me..........you should train and fight at the same weight.

losing a gut shouldn't screw up anybody's fighting ability, if anything, it will improve it. plastic surgeons can do great things with lipo, if a fighter is worried about losing too much size everywhere else.

Cucks went limp after the first shot on the ground. Then McCarthy saved him a trip to the ER after his head was bounced off the ground a few times. Plus rampage was 11 years younger and ready to whoop dat ass.

I think the stoppage was proper.

The first right sent him to the canvas, then 3 more shots followed. One of them missed but the other two hit their mark... Watch the reply and you'll see that both of Chuck's arms are on his sides and he is not covering his face. Quinton cocks back to land another shot and the ref steps in...

Exactly. John McCarthy stepped in before Liddel was seriously hurt. There was no way he was getting out of it.

he was certainly exhibiting a defenseless posture. . .just very disappointing after all the hype. . .nature of the game i suppose :whatever:

stopped a little too soon imho. . .i'd be pissed if i paid a bunch of money to watch that shit. . .if ufc really wants to eclipse boxing, that was a pretty piss poor excuse for a championship bout. . .

1. there is nothing more dangerous than having your head on the canvas and taking a big blow, its not like when your standing and your neck absorbs some of the impact...on the canvas your head is taking the full grunt of it.

2. UFC has said over and over again the safety of their fighters comes first and refs do a great job to keep that the case. they are not going to let someone take an extra 5 shots to the face defenseless on his back to entertain some drunk dude on his couch.

3. chuck himself said he got caught and was out.

ummm, yeah. . .

i was just looking back at their first fight and using it as a yardstick. . .no comparison really. . .in their first meeting the result was the same, but he was at least given a chance to get off his back. . .

Chuck didn't lose consciousness during the first fight, the guy has an amazing chin. He did sustain a lot of damage though, he was pretty beaten up by Jackson the first time.

Ya it sucks for UFC/Pride. They could have made huge strides if it would have been a great fight.

Did I just read some people say that they are disappointed with the fight?

Did we all watch the same fight?

That shit was awesome! Rampage went in there and got after Chuck! He stood with him, parried and blocked his strikes and came back with some of his own! That was a different caliber of fight that was going on in there!

And the finish! Oh the finish! Chuck is throwing from the outside not really wanting to mix it up just yet. He trows a short jab that gets blocked, follows it with a cross that also seems to get lost, the comes around with a left hook to the body from the outside! THE OUTSIDE!... Rampage fucking Blocks the left hook nicely (look at Chuck's hand just freeze at waist level after it hits Quinton's elbow! Rampage uses the blocking motion to spring back with a counter right hook of his own, BLAM! Knocks Chuck back!
I think the fight was awesome!

Rampages stand up defense is on some next level shit... He blocks with cat-like reflexes!
I think I know the defense he uses, I seen some of the the JKD guys I have trained with in NYC use it. They called it "Crazy Monkey", its a sort of motion designed to work in a bare knuckle fight... Tito Ortiz uses somewhat the same defense, the huge difference is in Quinton's style of rolling his body and countering...
