Im still in shock over the events of this weekend............ wow.............. i have always had respect for the people who train like this, especially the gang from elite that trains this way every week, now these guys have my friendship as well. you couldnt ask for a better group of guys to compete with. And to make it better it was everbody but OfWolfAndMan's first contest.
cuthbert - quickly turned into my brother's favorite competitor. this man had is work cut out for him. he weighed in about 195..... and his weight on the log was 210. and he had to carry 210 in each hand for the farmers event. now how many of you could do all that with your bodyweight??? On top of that he kept me laughing the whole time. "Shanus

Jason A(i forgot your screen name) - he showed a lot of heart after dropping like 25lbs for this show. he kept on repping out on the log, and then showed amazing intensity on the stones almost loading up the 315. He actually even tied with "OfWolfAndMan"
Brian74749 - a true champion, i was very proud of him. he started off with tough time on the log. most guys i know would have got worse and worse, but not him, he got better and better. he kept on digging untill on the last event on the stones he set a new pr putting up the 285 stone, and then cradling the 310 stone twice. a heck of a job.
OfWolfAndMan - this guy is just barely not a teen anymore. he's tall and im sure becuase of his long arms that some of his competitors probably wrote him off before the contest began. but only untill then, he kept pulling out amazing event after another. he loaded all 5 stones and the whole crowd went nuts!!!!!!! the he broke a new pr in warmups..... he had never flipped the 675 tire before, but he went on and flipped it for 80 feets, thats a heck of a pr.
Kingc_79 - first off he's a good business man ( he delivers) second hes one of the thickest 170lbers i have ever seen. he came in 2nd on the first 2 events just out of pure nervousness. then he gained control of himself, and finished 1st in the tire flip with a 10 second pr, and then he litteraly dove to victory and across the finish line of the farmers walk. And he was the only one of all of us who finished 1st place.
Chance - a 16 year old kid who was just as shocked as me when they changed our weight on the log press from 130 to 175.... but he spent the whole 75 seconds and got one rep.... but it was a huge pr for him. then he actually went the whole distance with the farmers without even dropping them once, he really showed me up with that one.
Me, Exodus - well i had the most fun just yelling for everyone and having a good time. but i set pr's on everything i did, and you cant ask for more than that.
Log Press - 175lbs i pressed it 19 times and came in 2nd.
Yolk - 425 lbs and i made 80 feet in 10.77 seconds. 4th place
tire flip - 550 tire for 80 feet and i made it in 39 seconds. 3rd place.
farmers walk - 160lbs each hand for 180 feet with 1 turn........ i dropped it the 2nd time about 20 feet from the finish line. (kids........ dont do bodybuilding!!! lol..... if you do just train your grip the whole time) 10th place.
so that knocked me from tied for 3rd place after 3 events, down to 5th place at the end. But man was i happy as can be. B fold was right, i felt good, i fell like i have accomplished something.
Speaking of B fold - thank you. you spent 2 weeks answering my questions thru emails. you let me borrow your back brace. you were there to congradulate me as soon as i was done with each event. you yelled and cheered for me. you let me use your shower after the contest. but most of all you told me you were proud of me. and that means a lot to me. becuase one day if i make it to where you are as a professional, then you wont be one of those people who jumped on the band waggon. you'll be that professional that took time out to help and cheer for me in my 1st contest when i was just a novice. Thank you.
well that was lengthy, but i really wanted everyone to get a glimpse of the champions they talk to everyday, weather or not they realize it.
