Mr. X in the ckd manual you write

"Now, I know, I know. You want to know how to do this the easy way. Because, what I’ve just shown beforehand is probably damn complicated. So, here is a simple rule-of-thumb way to break down your Ketosis ratios:
1)Set calories at: 12 cal/lb
2)Set protein intake: typically 0.9 g/lb. Protein has 4 cal/gram
3)Set fat intake: take protein calories and subtract them from total calories, then divide by 9 to get grams of fat.
In practice, most people end up eating about 1 gram of fat for every gram of protein. Ketosis almost always establishes with 1/1 ratios. (fat/protein -grams-) "

Does this mean that in setting up a ckd i could use this rule of thumb for my 6 days of ketosis (while varying my calories from day to day)? Or do i need those first few days of protein at abut 15% of cals to actually reach ketosis before i can use the simplified formula?

I am just asking for sake of knowledge, my keto is set up to your guidelines.

Thanks for everything

Either way you should be able to hit ketosis, just one is much easier to set up...however, higher fat the first few days might get you into ketosis faster. Just follow what's easiest for you....
