About to start making my fina. I got my kit from finakits. I was looking at the directions that everyone posted and i was wondering

1)where the coffee filters come into play?
2)and just to make sure the magic solution is the one that is filled up less correct.

1. The coffee filter can be used for pre-filtering. I didn't use it for that. After I pulled the mixed fina from the 1st vial and filtered it with the seringe filter, I put the coffee filter over a shot glass and dumped the crud at the bottom onto it and let it set over night. That got me about 1 more ml. Or you could use it to make coffee.
2. The magic solution is the one that smells like alcohol. There should only be about 1-2 mls of it.
