Knee Wrap Dilemma

Have not attempted a heavy squat single in a while and last night we did. My issue was it has been a long time since I wrapped my knees and when my friend did my feet became numb and when I walked the weight out I was shaky and I felt like I was walking on air.

I know wraps need to be tight, my question is, should I be practicing squatting with wraps ? Just like a suit or bench shirt, you want to take reps in them before a meet so your used to it, does the same apply for wraps?

Basically the wraps thru my whole squat off, feet numb, made me lean forward, it was terrible.

Any advice, anyone with similar issues?

yea...you've got to practice squatting with them or else your squat will be off. i'll have a hard road once i get a hardcore and inzer knee wraps....oh..HERE COME THE PAIN...INDEED!! tb

Did you have them wrapped hella-tight ??

I mean, to me it felt 1000% different and I would never be able to just throw them on at the meet for the first time and squat well.

Anyone else?
 
i have them cranked pretty good for my second and third attempt, the more weight the tighter i like them. my knee wrapper hasnt gotten them as tight as he can though.
 
Yes your feet will become numb . You have to get used to the feeling. I generally only wear wraps on near max attempts.
