I know this is sort of OT, but a lot of people never view the other boards and I've heard some people discuss knee pain on here.
Anyone here get a clicking, rice krispy type noise when they stand up from the catcher's position? Plus pain when standing in one spot for a long time or when going up stairs, etc.?
I've had that for quite awhile, and I bought a pair of those knee bands that go under your kneecap and they actually do something. I was astounded. It's like the first f*cking thing I've tried that actually does anything.
They're marketed for relief from "jumper's knee", patella tendonitis, and conditions like that.
The one's I bought are put out by Mueller. I know there are other companies that put out products along the same lines which are probably just as good or better. The purpose of the various products is to apply constant pressure on the tendon below the kneecap and to improve tracking and elevation of the kneecap (patella).
I have to say I highly recommend trying a product like that if you have that type of pain. There really isn't much out there for knee problems, and most of the operations either suck or seem to be reserved for the rich.
If you have knee pain when you squat and you use wraps, you might seriously consider trying a pair of these for awhile instead. I can flat out HEAR the difference in my knees with these on, not just feel it.
