i've been told to spray the drum with automotive undercoating to lessen the nosie; some peeps say to wrap it with a hot water heater insulation blanket...any suggestions on how to dampen the noise?

it's only 18 month old, a smaller model to fit in the limited space i have for it, so don't wish to replace it.....

lol............in this compact size that i require there's not a lot of choices.

I have seen some wrapped in something that looks like insulation, but you're probably best off asking someone at Home Depot or whatever to see what would be safe with wiring and thee heat from the dw.

agree about the heat/fire factor....was told to insulate the dish/water drum only and not to blciok airflow to the electric motor(s).
