distance yourself from that type of bad bro material, but don't stoop to his level.

I learned a long time ago to never lend money to friends or family for just this reason. When you have to ask for it back it simply never appears. If my buddy needs $20 at the bar I just chalk it up as a gift.

If my sister needed money to buy her kids something I would simply buy it myself.
