kid hangs himself live on cam!?

i don't even know what to say to this besides the fact that it seriously pissed me the fuck off seeing someone literally throwing their life away. imo when people choose suicide its like they're telling god "hey bro i'm not going to wait to get fired from life. i'm just going to quit now."

the video shows nothing gory. just him lacing up on a window blind cord. ironically hes wearing a "just do it" t shirt. his face turns dark purple and then goes back to normal color (why does that happen?)

towards the end of the video cops rush into the house and try to revive him. i'm assuming someone had the heart to report his little show to them only they got there to late.

i'm not even sure i wanna post the vid and ruin everyone's day... maybe later today.

i can ruin a night like nobody's business but to ruin a day is phuked up!
 
yeah i saw it. I wonder what % of suicide victims are teens cuz that's all we hear about in the news. Seems like more guidance counsellors are needed in skuels in today's age of cyber bullying, ipod thefts, gangs, race battles, skyrocketing teenage pregnancies, lower % getting into college, higher divorce & family unemployment rates, etc. Unf. most people don't care about the root causes of suicide and just ignore it like they always do - generation after generation. Same thing with the rash of military suicides.

Depression is always something no one wants to talk about until it's too late. Sad.

that is a tragedy. If only kids could understand the point where they are in their life at the time when things seem at their lowest, is just a blip on the screen.

11 years old. That kid had another 80 years to go. Hadn't even lived 20% of her life (most likely). I remember (barely) being a kid and thinking that things then were so monumentally important to me. LOL! Looking back, nothing was really all that important. Things that were a big deal then didn't end up amounting to anything in the long term perspective of life.

It was a boy. He killed himself because other kids were making fun of him being gay. It was really sad. My cuz tried to be there for him, but she was just a little girl herself.

The torment would have ended eventually without the suicide, was my point.

No, i got your point. I agree, kids think that everything is a big deal. What I ment was that sometimes we have these little kids with some very adult problems. Still not a reason for suicide, however. I think it is our job as adults to pay attention and try to read between the lines and help when we can.

agreed. And try to provide as much love and acceptance as we can to our kids. I hope my kids grow up with a good, healthy self image and the foresight to see that the teasing they may get in their younger years won't amount to anything later in life.

Good 4 u. less worries for sure. But I must say I love those window breaking, dutchoven giving, constantly stealing my soda, in trouble again at school because you said what to the teacher little buggers. They so make Dennis the menice look like a choir boy. :heart:
 
how fucked up would it have been if the kid who hung himself is the one that called the cops. like he was doing the whole thing for attention and was going to get saved just like on tv/movies. only the cops showed up late, and fucked his plans up. damn
 
That's fukt! A friend of mine ended his life a couple weeks age by shot gun. His roomie was outta town and didn't get home to find him for almost 2 weeks later. I can't imagine finding that. they were best friends too. I am so mad at him for doing that, but also feel so bad for him that he thought that was his only option. Turns out he was bipolar and decided to quit meds, as he thought it would make him a better athlete(cyclist). I worked with him for about 5 years and knew him for 5. He was 41 years of age. Very sad.
