Lincoln, Washington, FDR, who judges qualified...I just meant that as a trial lawyer, Edwards is a populist and a natural enemy of the private sector - all lawyers are - so he is unfit for leadership of the US.

BTW his approval ratings in NC are horrible.

I have 25+ JDs here - I know all to well that lawyers will sing whatever song the client wants. But they always sing to the same accompaniment: "who is paying my bills?" Lawyers are never in the game to create wealth - it is antithetical to what they do by definition. So it's not an agenda, it's the way he looks at stuff, that is so unfit for leadership.
