Kerry picks Edwards

hooch said:
I seriously doubt that....

Cheney:

-Former head of the Defense Dept.
-Former Sec. of Defense
-Former Chief of Staff
-Former Deputy Assistant
-Served on House Intelligence Committee
-Served on House Intelligence Budget Subcommittee

Edwards:
-Currently serving his first term in Senate.

Edwards is a bright guy, but so is Cheney. Plus, the whole experience factor.....

I think that a trial lawyer should be able to hold his own in a debate. They were talking about Edwards on NPR yesterday, and apparently he was so good at argueing his cases, other lawyers would come watch him in action.
Unless Cheney is going to blow his own horn the whole debate, and just bring up his resume, eventually they will have to DEBATE ISSUES. It'll be a slaughter.

Being a good debator (or master debator) is one thing, but its another when you have little to no knowledge of what you are actually arguing about.

I hope Kerry and Edwards don't have as many buddies at Enron and Haliburton as GW and Cheney.

If we start accusing the Dems of not doing enough for the poor and lower income groups, which I agree most centre left parties don't, not in the US nor anywhere else, then we should point out that the stark contrast between the Dems and the GOP is due to the extrene right wing and economic rationalist policies of the GOP. And the fact that this admin is catering to big business.

Clinton was far more buddy-buddy with Enron CEO than the Bush admin.

It is so totally specious to suggest Cheney/Bush were more involved with Enron than any other administration.

Didn't Dan Quayle get his butt kicked in the debates? I'm not sure how much it matters.
