karma question for everyone?

am i correct in saying that u can earn karma from playing online poker through EF...?(im not saying thats how most people here get their karma)

if i am correct ....how do u bros feel about that? i always saw karma as in a sense like wisdom. the vets all have a lot cause they are dedicated to the site and know a lotta shit and get karma for answering peoples questions accurately and correctly and giving good sound solid advice.
i could be wrong on that outlook of karma and its not the only thing i take into consideration when reading posts.

but if it is how i described it before and symbolizes dedication and everything, then it seems like winning it by playing poker is a little wrong....

p.s. im not faulting george for selling karma or giving it to people when they buy a pla membership... i understand its a site that needs money to run.... :rainbow:

i used to really notice karma when i first got on here and didn't know people... now it's easy to spot who knows their shit and who dont, but yeah i think that there should be a separate karma for the anabolic forum that isn't part of wagered karma... some people deserve to have their "badge worn" if ya know what i mean.
now give me some karma everyone !!

I always saw Karma like that. I posted almost exclusively in the weights and training forum and you'd get K for good advice or give it to say 'Thanks' or 'Congrats'. Every once in a while, I'd dip into the C&C forum and suddenly pick up a few hundred Karmas. One day I realised that I was posting more in C&C than in the weights forum.

It doesn't seem to make any difference to anyone with lower Karma but the old idea of Karma and post-count indicating a poster's worth are long gone. Anyone can run up 50 or even a hundred posts a day in C&C and win any amount in the Bookie Forum. You just have to know which posters are worth taking note of and take a glance at their membership date.

I sometimes wonder whether having too much Karma causes people to view you with suspicion or even derision since, besides being a mod, it can only be gained in huge amounts from purchase, C&C or through gambling or, in some cases, from massive donations for services rendered.
 
This is something I still don't understand. It's supposed to be a way to tell someone you like their post. But you can't do this to the same person twice without doing it to others. So you have to do it people who's posts you don't necessarily like to do it to those you do. If you do it too little no one can do it to you, if you do it too much you have to stop for a day. People consider these a status symbol but you can buy this status at the status store. If this is making any sense to you you're way ahead of me. lol
 
Once you stick around for a while, you tend to know who knows their shit and who doesnt....we have had guys with 20,000+ karma hits travel from the depths of C&C asking for advice about simple one timer cycles...so karma means nothing....on the other side of the coin we have had guys with NO karma but really knowledgeable and helpfull too....I look at what the individual has to say not their karma..
 
I laugh my ass off at cats who cry over karma points.........you mean someone here has actually paid for karma?

That's when the trouble begins: when someone from C&C posts in Weights or here in AAS and gets flamed and then starts dropping bombs. That's no fun for anyone and causes resentment at the Karma system.

Yeah thats true as well..the more karma you have..then well...you could OWN someone just by a click of a mouse!! LOL...although if I think about it now....when i first joined it seemed like bombs where being dropped like it was WWII! people getting owned left and right..that was some funny shit...last person i saw get owned was that chick lisab....thats been it in a long while..up here at least...
 
interesting... i havent been around too long but i was already starting to pick up on not counting karma. idc how much i have, im not jealous of ne one who has more then me. but i respect radar and satch and slat and indy who have earned karma through giving good advice and sharig knowledge :artist:

I should have spread it around before I settled it. I never even thought about it.
I keep losing karma as a bookie now too.. LOL. Its still fun though!

This is correct, but that is exactly how life works. One example... the fat, bald, ugly, asshole (but very rich) guy gets the hot girl. How he actually got her is a whole other story.
