Just when you think the human race is beyond repair..

I get pissed off talking to fat people who would like to join a gym but are afraid that all the muscle dudes will laugh at them I try to explain that anyone who walks into a gym and makes an effort to improve themselves is going to garner support, not laughter, but no one ever believes.

Of course sometimes that's just a rationalization so they can continue to justify being lazy blobs, but many times they're seriously intimidated.

while they may be justifying their lazyness...i have seen that happen where some stupid muscle head thinks he's better than everyone and chooses to ruin an experience for a newbie...

Usually they're younger guys in my experience. Older guys are always cool and willing to help out.

That's a nice story. I always thought that people ignored other people when they workout at the gym. I always do.

But still it's a nice story.

I laugh at people at the gym..but not at fat people, at stoopid people. Everytime i see someone whose "trying" to hard, lifting more weight than they can handle, has terrible form, or is doing some nonsense routine I saw in this months Mens health.

I can't help it I'm mean. And its not like I can go over and say... Excuse me but your a dumbass and this will never work you need to do this....not cuz I don't wanna help, but becuase no one who wants to be told they are doing something wrong in the middle of their workout.(with the exception of someone who you can tell is a true newbie)

Big difference. I think we all do that to some degree.

You're mean ;-)

I keep my mp3 on and don't talk to anyone, but if I saw someone struggling, I would help for sure.
