Just Did my first Quad shot!!!!!

I am still flexible enough to do both sides of my glutes and I do both delts - that gives me 4 good sites to rotate my injects, I dont want to start with the quads until I really have to...:rwb:

I just started week 2 of 12 sust.EQ,dbol& fina...i also just started quad injecton and i love it accept for that twich it feels funny and a little painful...now i just wanted to double check something with you guys...if using a 22g 1.5 pin in the quad, go only half way in correct??

Before doing a quad shot, take your index finger and press firmly on your outer quad. You can locate areas that are less dense with nerves/veins by doing this. Once you find a good "dead" spot, stick that sucker (23g 1") in there good, quick & straight. If you're using an oil based AS, take up to 60 sec to complete the injection. Rub for a few minutes afterwards, & then go for a run or something.

Pimp, I don't think this works for me because I can't seem to locate any dead spots. Do you have any additional info for this?

Also fellas, is it just me or are all of your guys' quads filled with veins. Even when I look at the side of the quad where I'm supposed to inject, I can spot a shitload of vasculature under the right light (I have some skinny legs so it is easier for me to spot). If I didn't survey my quad carefully before I shot I think I would have a 50/50 chance of hitting a vein. To me it seems like stepping in a minefield, but I'm not flexible enough to reach my glutes, and I would like to see what I'm doing in front of me?

Does anyone have any suggestions for the quad before I begin to avoid these veins. Do you think the delts would be more safer in terms of avoiding a vein and nerve?

BigPun, I don't know what to tell you other than it takes time to get to know where the best spots to inject are. Personally, I can easily locate "dead spots" and they are very distinct from the areas more dense with nerves. They tend to be found easier on the lower outer quad, just above the separation. Poke sharply and you should find areas less sensitive than others---but then again you mentioned having skinny legs which could make a difference. It isn't mandatory that you find dead spots, as long as you use good injection technique and aspirate---I just find that by doing so, I don't have nearly as many encounters with nerves & veins.

I also do delt shots, but they are just harder to perform on yourself, and if the delts get sore, working out is a bitch, and it seems like everyone will find a way to bump into your shoulder or grab you there when they hurt.

I would need a route map and compass to get to my butt so I inject into the quad, sus mondays and thursdays hurts for a couple of days but, I kinda like it.
