Obviously, judges allow these cases to come to court. Judges could always employ some procedural motion to end these suits, but clearly the judges did not do so. Thus, there must be some merits to these lawsuits, or the judge would clearly throw the suits out.
You know, I have alot more faith in my fellow Americans that you do. I highly doubt that of 12 American citizens, there is not at least one voice of reason. For instance, people ridicule the O.J. Simpson case for no apparent reason. The jurors in that case were predominately smart African-Americans who reached an informed intelligent decision about the facts in that case. Thus, we should accept that verdict, just as we should accept these verdicts. Being an expert in something doesn't always make you a good decision-maker.
It's very arrogant of you to assume that juries are unqualified, simply because you don't sit on those juries. Our litigation system is just fine.....
