Juice and Abs?

I have never faced anyone on stage who had abs that could come close to touching mine, and I never train them more than 1x a week in the offseason, and at most, 2x weekly in contest prep
Even if you CAN train them more than 1x weekly, you dont NEED to, so why would you do something more times than you need to. Do you like being at the gym that much more than home, or anywhere else for that matter

On that note, what is your basic ab workout if ya dont mind giving away your secret.

No! Do you train arm's, chest, legs 5 days a week? Anything more and your overtraining.

not true.

You can work abs 4 days a week easily. If not more.

They are a very tiny muscle set and recover extremely quickly.

I think it's in your genetics. :elephant:

i work abs about 2 or 3 times a wk.

there's a ab machine w/weights at the gym i go to that i use. seems to work mostly the mid and upper. i also do leg lifts to try and cover the lower abs.

I work abs 2 times a week. For lower abs, I do reverse crunches 5 sets for 2min each set. Hanging leg raises and cable crunches till I almost puke

wow, alot of thoughts on this... my 2 cents, and what I do.... yes, you can train them every day, abs are a musclegroup that doesn't get "overtrained" easily.... how much is "enough" depends on the person, and how much time you *want* to spend on them... genetics does play a role...however, all the crunches in the world won't help if diet is off... get a clean diet, drop some carbs, do cardio and watch the abs come out! Me personally, I do abs about 5 times a week, sometimes more....only spend about 10 minutes a day on them... I'd have a whatever-pack if I didn't like carbs so much! (Hey, I'm Italian!) :)

I still have tight abs since I can't gain weight if my life depended on it.... I just don't have to worry about them. I did them today though.

You can call me Six-Pack Steve from now on.... or Sally

Wait until you get into your 30's. I was the same way up until the last year or so (I'm 33).

Ok this should probably be on the workout board but I am curios of those that are juicing.......Those who really work there abs......Do you do your ab work everyday or every other day or once a week? I am working my abd monday wednesday and friday and am finally getting a 6 pack but am wondering if I should step it up to 5 days or not?

Twice a week with legs:
First time:
(1) Hanging leg raise with 25 lb at ankles; 3x12
(2) Decline sit-ups with 25 lb plate at chest; 3x12
(3) Side bends with bare Olympic bar; 50

Second time:
(1) Laying bent leg raise with 25 lb at ankles; 3x12
(2) Seated machine crunches 50 lbs resistance; 3x12
(3) Full twists with bare Olympic bar; 50

I try to get all this done in less than 10 minutes.

I do mine 2 to 3 times per week. I use to not even worry about them as they were farly easy to keep for me.. but I want them big and blocky this time..
I had them hid for 2 years and they are peaking back threw.. due to knee problems..
