Juice and Abs?

alot of people do not realize this but you work your abs more than you think. i work my whole abdominal area only once a month. i'm working my abs during heavy leg presses, standig tricep pushdowns, and many other exercises. your abdominals are no different than any other muscle group on your body. they need the same amount of recovery time as anything else.

If you do all your other core building movements, ab's will be trained enough. Standing military, squats, deads, etc. My abs are as defined as they have ever been and I have not really worked them in years. Low bodyfat and a strong core will make them rock hard and defined.

Ok..Thanks. I guess I'm doing plenty then. I do see and have them for the first time in my life (i'm 41) and I am totally motivated to make them better and more defined. I'm about 220 down from 280. I use to post as "Heavy Duty" and "Crimson Coal" about a year ago or so.

I agree with you.

also many times when i do my back, i feel soreness in my abs the next day. i believe that if your abs are getting a work out while you're doing other muscles, that will give them a nice conditioning and maturity.

I have never faced anyone on stage who had abs that could come close to touching mine, and I never train them more than 1x a week in the offseason, and at most, 2x weekly in contest prep
Even if you CAN train them more than 1x weekly, you dont NEED to, so why would you do something more times than you need to. Do you like being at the gym that much more than home, or anywhere else for that matter

so true, I NEVER work abs alone anymore and my abs are looking the best they ever have. They get worked by almost everything you do in the gym, low BF not crunches is the key to nice abs.

I am a total slob, abs are for my off day...I usually skip... low BF is right.

As I said in an earlier post, might be time for some cake...

The only reason I do juice is so my abs can look pretty

everyone else too right?

bro, that's the ONLY reason why i juice it up.. The abs are the showcase for our body. Big fat gut = fatass.. Tight ripped stomach = gettin' poontang.

I still have tight abs since I can't gain weight if my life depended on it.... I just don't have to worry about them. I did them today though.

You can call me Six-Pack Steve from now on.... or Sally
