Journals

The interesting things within journals are the decisions people make about their training. Because the journals run for a period of time, you can see the context in which decisions are made. You sometimes see different options being suggested and trade-offs between them discussed, and you can see things unfold in real time. I learn a lot more about training from those kinds of posts within journals than I do from a lot of the non-journal threads.

If all the journals simply listed sets and reps, without many comments, then I'd agree and I'd want them shifted to one side.

There are always going to be less interesting journals to sift through though (possibly my own included), just as there are always going to be less interesting training threads.

I vote to keep 'em here.

My (biased) opinion is that it's not out of hand yet. There are still 2-3 days worth of threads on page one at any given time, so I don't see the need yet.

But if tons of people start to use journals here I could see a dedicated forum being warranted for sure.

Here's why I like the idea: it's not that I think they're "cluttering" the training board, just the opposite. Most of the time I'd rather not sift through training (read: bench/bicep) threads to get to the journals.
