Tom Miller says:
Neither the original of the "ransom" note nor original exemplars of Patsy Ramsey's handwriting were available for analysis. Thus the analysis was conducted through comparison of photomechanical reproductions. Access to exemplars was limited. No opportunity to review exemplars of Patsy Ramsey provided police officials was made available. Because of this, the categories of speed and pressure could not be fully examined. In light of these circumstances, the opinion is limited to "probable" rather than "Highly probable" or "definite". Access to further known exemplars would be needed to provide a more definite opinion.
David Liebman says:
There are far too many similarities and consistencies revealed in the handwriting of Patsy Ramsey and
the ransom note for it to be coincidence.
Although many writers share some of the same traits found among other authors, as the number of
identifiable traits increases,- the likelihood of two people sharing the same handwriting decreases
dramatically.
In light of the number of comparisons and similarities between Patsy Ramsey and the ransom note
writer (51), the chances of a third party also sharing the same characteristics is astronomical.
Taken individually, the similarities are not nearly as compelling as the sheer numbers and combinations
found in both the writing of Patsy Ramsey and the ransom note.
In my professional opinion Patsy Ramsey is the ransom note writer.
Wide range of Opinions, but all seem to hint that Pasty Ramsey wrote he ransom note

Karr claims to have drugged her - the tox report showed none were found
He also claims he picked her up at school - that's also inaccurate.
Also if you read the several analysis reports of the randsom note the overall result was that it was Patsy Ramsey's handwriting with the exception of one that has a dead link and these two that say:
It's rather interesting how our own words can give us away.

Regardless of what the outcome - it's a sad situation for the child that is no longer with us.
