Jogging at 5'9" and 222 lbs.

When I was around 190-200, I ran 2 miles in under 16 minutes as my regular jogging speed. 13:15 going nearly all out. But now, at this weight, my jogging speed is about a 10:30 mile. What I'm trying to figure out is if it's the added size or if I'm just out of shape and need to increase aerobic activity.

About 1 time a week. The other time, I'll ride the bike or eliptical. I'm very tight in my back and legs. My gf is gonna help me get some flexibility back. I always hated stretching. She taught yoga and ballet.

Just last year, I was running quite a bit faster, but I was 10 lbs. lighter.

I think so. I used to do it twice a week for years. Also, I think it's flexibility. I'm hurting when I run in the lower back and from tightness in the thighs. That pain probably causes me to get tired faster and have to run slower and tight muscles don't operate as smoothly.
