Is water with Crystal Light not count as water?

wow, i was under the impression that only pure water was the water i needed to drink.
but i had this same argument with my workout partner, he said i needed to drink pure water, and i claimed that i could drink anything to get my water, but in the end i just started drinking pure water. guess im gonna go to the store and pick up some crystal light then.

I need to try it, I am a addicted to diet coke with splenda,
I hate soda's I use crystal light. Ruby Red Grapefruit is awsome. Sugar free Tang is good too but both are to strong for me so I mix 1/2 strength. It counts. I will say 2 weeks out I cut it because I seem to hold water off it...probably Nutra sweet.

I agree - I stay away from Soda. THere is a generic brand of Crystal Light that is made by the Kroger grocery chain - It is sports drink flavors. They taste EXACTLY like gatorade, yet are made the same as Crystal Light - I am addicted to those - Best invention ever! (Well, next to Tren anyway)

Gatorade = water with gatorade stuff in it (Sugars not good)
Kool aid = water with Kool aid stuff (sugar not good)
Orange juice = Wll its orange juice but consists mostly of water (Vitamin C is good)

Maybe everyone should preach plenty of quality liquids/fluids instead of just plain water but you just can not get any closer to water than water.

Sorry to state the obvious!

Iced tea = water with tea flavoring but not as good for you to hydrate with because caffiene is a diaretic (sp?) like alcohol and makes you piss out more than you take in

interesting the posts here... i thought i would be reading some bad info, but all are correct...

daily liquid intake pretty much includes everything.. of course we know that drinking a gallon of coffee a day isnt exactly "good" for you

As for my intake... i usually drink about a gallon of water a day (that includes the water i use for my protein shakes) Plus I drink some cranberry juice in the AM, and if i have it, i drink green tea (the kind with sugar) which isnt great, BUT it does still have good antioxidents etc in it
