Is The Arnold Press REALLY Effective For The Delts???

I don't think anything is as effective as the standing push press.

heavy weights = growth

Very bad choice if the person performing it might be prone(or already have) Back problems bro. You actually get more leverage with your Back supported on a seated press. Just my opinion though.

i dont like to rotate anything heavy in my hand. but if you want a different feel. do them with a neutral grip....(palm's facing each other) and press, but dont rotate them.

Well what did these people do to get a bad back?

weak core strength?
bad technique?

You can perform any exercise by using various techniques. . the push press is a safe movement if you use proper form.

I think because of the rotation and the range of motion used, they hit the front delts harder than the other heads. If you are already doing alot of heavy pressing movements for your chest, the front delts are getting a tremendous amount of stimulation. Ultimately if you concentrate on them, you'll just over train your front delts and neglect the other heads. Just my 2 cc's.

Right on louden.... I like the way you think.

For real, why don't you drop this quasi-bodybuilder thing and just go full stregnth/performance....?

Actually, I can get the best of both worlds. . its the way I train that enables to achieve both bodybuilding and strength training;) .

Let’s not forget everyone is different thus certain movements can be very advantageous to some while others it can cause severe discomfort. sure we all bend the same way, but not 100%
