I've heard the same stories before too, but I've personally seen a dipshit not pay attention and shoot himself in the thigh with a 380 and he went down hard.
it will kick up, and A LOT harder than a pistol. its not horrible, but just be ready the first time you fire it. oh yeah, and get some slugs for it. that is loads of fun! have you ever seen what a 20g slug can do to something. i can't even imagine a 12g. check this out while we're on the topic of guns:
I've been in that position, when They tried to break in (tried to kick the door down), I fired a warning shot and the gun jammed(an older gun not the glock). Had they kept coming I would've been fucked.
If you are referring to home protection you have it backwards. The shotgun should be your primary and the Glock would be your backup. Of course, a 9mm is not a primary or a secondary, it's practice gun (not flamin', just my philosophy).
Of course the 9mm will drop somebody, manny78 must of just watched some old Clint Eastwood movies, 357 will ripp limbs off, Big is good but the 9mm will also do the job!
