If you plan on doing your own mods, go with a Mossberg.

I prefer them because I have my father-in-law do tons of mods to them, and wind up with a top-notch gun for much much less.

If you have family in the house, go with buckshot rather than slugs.

Last thinkg you want is have *your* slug go through a wall or two and kill a family member.

Always go with buckshot, Also if you are going to be shooting slugs make sure your barrel is a slug barrel!

thanks, but I know how to operate a gun and stuff, I'm just not real familar with the different types of shots for a shotgun.

How do you know if you have a slug barrel??
This gun doesn't have a choke in it .
