The pain had me crawling like a worm on the floor. No kidding, while driving at 3AM I was like "if I see a f*ckin cop I'll ask him to please shoot me"

Yeah when I got mine I was in Europe in Italy with no hospital in site for miles...I suffered for days in a hotel with the chills, excruciating pain , I couldn't walk from the bed to the night stand it was like going through pure hell. I had a 6mm stone I passed on my own. I had never had one before so I did not know what was going on.
I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
Bad thing is once you get these you probably will always get them (sad but true).

yeah the doc told me that. I'll have rocky babies forever now.
That's another reason to keep some of that morphine at home... 
Demerol's much better than morphine, in my opinion. Morphine made me nauseous and sick for like four hours. Bleh. I would think that if they gave you IV morphine, you'd feel at least somewhat nauseous afterword. I'd guess that you probably got demerol.
I've never had fenatyl. I hear that stuff's super strong, but I don't think it's a normal post-op option. The effective dose range is really low.

I am sure it was most likely demerol as it was not in a pill form, not to mention that most facilities try to stay away from morphine as much as possible due to it being habit forming. And also like samoth stated many people get sick after taking morphine.
Demerol is a much better drug choice for pain management imo.

I got morphine once and it was amazing.

had the same reaction to anasthesia. morphine was used for my second surgery and the side effects were worse than anasthesia. my anastehsiologist slept in my room in the chair next to my father. i guess he was anticipating something.
