hi all

ive got a problem doing my biceps correctly,no matter how i train them whether it be dumbell barbell or cable machine i only ever feel it burn at the very top of the inside of my forearm where the bicep joins the forearm, with no feeling on the actuall bicep its self, is this normal because i cant seem to remedy it and its pi$$ing me off massivley

thanks in advance for any replys.

I wouldn't gauge progress to much on that, if your form is good and the weights are increasing, your biceps are getting stronger. Now, if all your other big compound lifts like squats, deads, rows, and a press are also increasing as well as the scale...you will see some growth.

^^^ agreed.

I guarantee if you don't do a single curl for 12 weeks and get stronger at squating, pushing and pulling your arms will grow.

lol...

Yea, no one else really needs to say much... Zgzaz pretty much summed it up. Hit your squats, rows, deads, and flats hard and dont worry about curls so much... Maybe 1 or 2 excercises a week for them seperately but focus hard on you compound movements. Guaranteed that will have the best results for growth.

Hmm...maybe barbell curls with alternating width of grip...

Anyone else?

ummm . . . no. Don't just throw random shit out there.

If you're getting stronger at rows and pullups/chinups, you'll be able to add weight to your curls, and you'll grow your biceps. If the weight is heavy enough, the whole muscle will activate. Don't worry about "one part" burning at this point.

i was just going to say pull ups/chin ups dame.

Ok listen. Barbell curls are effective.

So if you have been doing the dumbbells the switch over does work 'for bis'

Dont you agree?
