let us all use musclemom's logic (or lack thereof)...whatever feels good must be intrinsically good.
so, go fuck your neighbors dog if that's what makes you feel good. go shoot the pizza delivery man for shits and giggles. drive on the wrong side of the freeway...so long as you feel this necessary for your own happiness and some sort of personal fulfillment.
and yeah, there are many, many guys who fall under the same category. however, it is not the men who are taking the OPPOSITE SEX's hormones.
that's the equivalent of guys wearing panties and pumps when they go to work.
but yeah, blur those gender lines. sweet.

You're comparing steroid use to murder. You have issues, little boy, and the main one is that you really need to figure out why you are so badly threatened by women who use steroids.
And lemme tell ya something, Poink old chum, if dudes could double their benchpress by wearing garterbelts instead of shooting various oily substances into their bodies, there's plenty of them who would be ordering off the Victoria's secret website.
And as for men who wear panties and pumps to work ... obviously you've never heard of transvestites.

At least if people are going to do it, they better be damned sure the person giving them advice have worked with plenty of women before and know what the hell they are doing. BIKINIMOM said:QT - I am not going to debate this issue. I remember when I first came to the boards 6+ years ago having the "natural" debate and it is silly. The natural bodybuilding is an oxymoron. Once you go past local level in bodybuilding ALL THE WOMEN USE GEAR - PERIOD.
There is NO WAY humanly possible for a woman to do fitness, put such great demands on her body at such low bf% without the use of some sort of chemical assistance.
If women like Monica Brandt are doing figure you can bet your bottom dollar that in order for ANY woman to be competitive they must use gear or some other form of supplementation ie growth hormone, novaldex, lasix, etc...
I laughed my ass off when back in the day a woman on the women's forum had THE AUDACITY to claim she was natty because she never used anabolics but she DID use novaldex to help get the water off her lower body to compete. WTF was natural about that?
Dont be naive girl. ANY fitness model (MALE OR FEMALE) who is actually making money (and not just "getting pics for their portfolio")... by the way there is little to NO MONEY in fitness modeling... is using some sort of fat burner, something to suck water out or something to help maintain his/her mass while dieting and doing cardio to attain and maintain a certain appearance.
Anabolics are not legal so, OF COURSE, most will not readily admit to use, especially if their faces are public.
Hmmmm...that is interesting. I guess part of it depends on what you call "natural" By natural, I always meant that no illegal supplements are used. I never counted fat burners in as being not natural. If that is the case, I was not natural for a few years, either.BIKINIMOM said:QT - I am not going to debate this issue. No, I see your point. However, now I'm wondering in the "natty" competitions, I know some or all of those people do stuff and then quit before the show to pass a drug screen. I see. thanks for the info. Just curious. It is so hush hush that you can't usually just ask people. My trainer at the last gym used to claim she was natural but she competed in bb and was quite successful. I think she was fibbing to me, but I certainly didn't push her to tell me. I actually never asked her, she just told me one day that she was natural. I don't know much about it, really.Sassy69 said:otc 'anabolics' - used to be what the prohormones were. Now you occassionally get new products that haven't been caught by the fed govt yet. And everyone is finding a way to get around the current regulations for what is a scheduled compound and what isn't.
'natty' competitions - depends on the federation and the quality of their testing. Some require you to demonstrate clean for 7 yrs. Some do very cheese 'lie detector' type testing which is very easy to get around, and then the actually chemically tested shows that people can schedule their cycles around. You can pretty much guess who uses and who doesn't at show time and also if they were usign any anti-estrogens or anything else - esp in women because of the very individual fat depositing detendencies (estrogen driven) -- very hard for a natty female to lean out evenly - top & bottom and not look strange.
gh - i doubt cancer patients would get gh - it promotes cell growth - including tumors.

In fact, it's been proven that the lack of food causes, well, death.

Maybe anything that enhances the physique could be considered not "natural."
I mean we are talking about "juicing" here, right. (title of the thread/not my title) Idon't think I would consider vitamins, fat burners, or creatine as being "juice." If so, wouldn't all that canned tuna be not "natural" too, being that it enhances the physique?
Where to draw the line I guess is the issue.
