iriver is top notch. i have a 2 year old 256mb player. it still rocks out

iriver is the best for sound quality but i still realy like my ipod alot. itunes auto converts wmas when u add them to library so thats not a big deal it will be done if u leave on overnight. i would get an iriver or an ipod, stay away from the nomad!

fuck the expensive ipod. my $50 irock mp3 player with 256mb smartcard works damn well for me. i just change the setlist every other week. No biggee cuz even with an ipod, you gotta connect every now and then to upload new songs. And when i'm on the road == i don't want to keep staring down to traverse through 5,000 songs to find what i like. i use my protable mp3 player as my portable current playlist.

haha clearly you've never experienced one first hand... the sorting capabilities on them are amazing. You can search by artist/cd/song/genre/most played/anyting

you can even create all sorts of different playlists that save onto it for that very reason

i have 3000 or so songs, and finding what i want when i want is so easy

my only problem with my iPod was that it had some hardware malfunctions early on.. screen got scratched, digital stuff was pretty dimm... so i called apple on monday, had a brand new one in my hands on thursday... i wish I had more hands so i could give those titties four thumbs UP!!

the files remain mp3 files, iTunes just converts them to an aa3 tag that it can read, but you're still going to have that same normal mp3 file you had before

i had 3000ish songs on my comp and it took 5 min to convert and upload them all
