Insulin??

Hey Kizer-
When do you personally think the window to maximize gains by using slin post workout is closed? In other words can I go finish training drive 20 minutes then take a shot and stil
 
adonis there are different typess ome slow acting some faster so you will see amssive results from it if your not a dieabetic.

I already know all about the use of insulin.

I have already done two cycles of 6 weeks, each with great results, going up as high as 14 iu.

My question was about INTRA-MUSCULAR insulin injections,

I have never done it intramuscular, as I was told it simply would not become actaive at all or only a little.

I was told this by a lifetime diabetic (non-bodybuilder) who was told this by his doctor.

I think i'll start a thread on it.:D

I think 20 will be okay but of course not optimal, I just pack the preloaded pin in a cooler with an ice pack. Keep my alcohol swabs with me, as soon as I get out of the gym I shoot it sitting in my car. If you are worried about people seeing you, you could go to an uncrowded parking lot nearby and then do it.
 
i just finished my first week of Humalog, im taking 10 iu's post workout, followed by 80-100 grams of dextrose,50 grams whey,10 grams creatine and 10 grams glutamine. I really like it so far, nice strength gains. i noticed that at about the 2 hour mark i have to have some sugars again, or else i start goin hypo, other than that its goin nice and smooth.
 
I use humalog at 10 iu post work out only , in 2nd week, the most noticible things are the strength, I use 10g creatine right after inj, and wait an hour and eat my protein and carbs
 
the best results i have seen on only insulin is taking a small dose right before a workout and another larger dose following the workout, this has a good anabolic effect, taken with enough carbs and protien it works well but this way of taking insulin u must be even more careful not to go into hypo
doses are rigth now
10 i.u. preworkout
20 i.u. postworkout
do not start with this high of doses
 
capt whats your weight? I have heard many folks taking slin before workouts but have also heard its more dangerous as your body fights for carbs that it loses while working out??? I hope I recalled that properly. What do you do when you feel hypo coming on?
 
i'm 6 ft 250lbs, i've been using humulin R, i've never had a problem while i'm working out i just make sure i have enough crbs in me before i go to the gym, however after the shot it is easier for me to fell the carb cravings and sweating befoere going into hypo, i just take a glycoload drink and some longer acting carbs. i've used insulin on and off now for a while during college FB, its a good thing to use as long as your smart and do not get lazy with your diet
