I did a search and couldn't find anything. I was just wondering what happens to the insulin if it's left unrefridgerated. I left mine out and went away for a few days. It was left out at room temp for a total of four days. Should I just get a new bottle or am I ok. Oh, it was humulin R if that matters. Thanks.

temp

I've got a shit load of humilinR and humilinN my girls a nurse so she gets it all the time dont know alot about it so dont dare use if you could give me some info it would be abig help as far as temp my girl uses it on her patients and its all kept at room temp so I hope that helps like I said any info will be great

i would not toss it, my rommmate is diabetic, and he carries his insulin around in a bad and doesn't keep it refridgerated, he just refridgerates his "stock pile" of insuiln.

Being diabetic myself, Ill tell u it makes no difference. Once I open up a new vile, it remains out of the fridge until Im done with it... Usually about 2-3 months later. If I check my blood sugar when I first open it and when I use the last drop, the effect will be almost exactly the same.
