Injection Tips to Avoid Soreness

McBane

New member
I know the basics, massage immediately after injection, keep the injection slow (1cc per minute), hot compresses immediately after injecting. Any other tips on how to avoid the soreness? My triceps are fucking KILLING me from a test prop shot 2 days ago. I did chest/back today and it was rough, but after the workout they are horribly tight. I'm worried something is going to snap! I've iced them like a mother. Any tips on how to deal with the soreness would be nice, but more importantly how to avoid the soreness to begin with would be even better! (btw I'm using viromone test prop and shooting 100mg eod (2cc's)). For tri's and bi's I'm only shooting 1cc per arm, but every other part I'm shooting the full 2cc's in one side (i.e. left delt).

Sorry to bump so soon but my tri's are killing me. Just took a really hot shower and it felt good at the time but now they are pretty much as tight and cramped as before.

this is what i found works the best

take 2 ibuprofen 1 hr prior to injection

hurts less, no swelling ... you cut off the swelling (causes the prolonged pain) before it starts

Nice idea! Hadn't though of that. I'll give it a whirl thanks bro! Btw does the NFG in your name stand for New Found Glory by any chance?

You do chest and back on the same day? That's a little overload.

Don't ice the muscle, use a warm compress.

I just heat the juice before injection under hot running water. It works wonders. I did my first lat injection today with Fina. It was like heaven. Warmed it before, no soreness at all. But then again, it could start tomorrow.

I haven't been running it under hot water.......that definitely could help I bet. Do you run the vials under hot water or the actual needle, as I would think you would then have to change neeldes as the water is not completely clean.

Yeah I like doing Chest and Back in the same day. I stick to compound movements and usually do about 16 sets total so it's not really much of an overload, plus I sleep alot and eat alot :D

yeah I like to do chest and upper back since together since they are antagonists I do all my muscles like that actually in an antagonist setup.

me too! I love it, it definitely helps keep my shoulders loose. My setup is:
Chest/Back
Legs
Shoulders/Arms
Active Rest Day (light cardio 25min & abs)
Chest/Back
Legs (light leg day)
REST

I've been doing a similar routine but this one is a bit more aggressive and this is my first week trying it so I'll see how it goes. I'm worried about overtraining a bit but my 2nd leg day is light so I think I should be ok.

DO NOT RUN THE NEEDLE UNDER HOT WATER.

Tap water contains LOTS of bacteria, you will contaminate that needle. Even with the sheath on, some will get inside, for sure, and with the sheath, it will not adequately heat the needle. This will result in an abcess.

The best way that works for me is to put the vial under running warm water for a few before I draw it up. Definately had cut down on the soreness.

work it

The thing that helped me the most, was actually working the muscle a little after the inject. Immed. after inject I would massage for two minutes, then, lets say it was bicep, I would just do curls(no wieght) just flex really hard. There was a post on this a while back but it helped me alot.

I have to say I have never had a glute injection that made it hard for me to walk or painful enough to complain about ,not saying that they felt good but just not enough to say to much about .I always take it real slow going in and injecting ,maybe i'm just lucky so far.

After I load my syringe I put the needle on it and leave it capped, then I put the syringe back in it's wrapper and run the hot water over that, so there is no chance of contaminating the needle or the syringe. Works well for me. Still no pain after that lat injection yesterday.

What kind of prop are you using? If it's vet, then generally I find it only suitable for sticking in the butt and maybe the legs. Only high grade human stuff is suitable for site injection.

After the syringe is loaded, take off the pin,
put the syringe into a mug (make sure the syringe is in an upright position
with the open end facing up)

Then nuke it for 10sec.
Replace with new pin.
I found this really helped with Sustanon injections.
No soreness during the next few days.

good 4 u

i just took my first glute injection last night and let me tell u my ass herts today

whats ur secret or am i just a sissy

Prob because it was your first shot. For me every site I injected besides pecs hurt the first time I injected but the second, third, etc. didn't hurt nearly as much. Probably just because your body has never experienced that much liquid being injected in that area.
