Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below I had my last injection about a month and a half ago. I have recently messed up my very lower back/upper glute. It almost feels like a torn glute or hip flexor. The last injection was in my left glute in the general area of the pain. Could this be related? Also if I go to the doctor will he be able to tell? Maybe from a mri or something? Thankd

No he will not be able to tell unless you left the needle in your glut.

Based on my own experience, I'd think maybe you got a deep muscle hematoma. I gave myself one in April in the right quad. It's a freak accident, since it's hard to hit a large vein in either the outer quad or the upper outer glute.
If you did do that, just wait it out. It takes about 30 days for the blood to reabsorb into the system.
Symptoms: hard swelling, fairly painful (or VERY painful), bruise gradually appears over whole area, and in my case spread all the way down my leg during the month.
